Dear East Rochester Elementary Faculty, Staff and Families,

I hope you and your family enjoyed your Thanksgiving if you celebrated. This school year is moving at lightning speed. It is hard to believe that December is upon us! As a reminder, this week is a four-day school week. Friday is an Elementary Parent/Teacher Conference Day. There will be no school for PK-5 on Friday. Please make sure that you have scheduled a conference with your child's teacher. Conferences are being held both virtually and in-person to make it most convenient for you.

During the month of December, the Second Step Social-Emotional Curriculum will focus on emotional management. Announcements this week will promote the idea that everyone feels a lot of feelings and understanding how you feel is done by paying attention to your body and the signals it gives you. A fun activity for home could be a game of feelings charades. Act out the body signals of different emotions and take turns guessing the emotions!

Important dates to mark on your calendar this month are below. I hope you have a wonderful week. See you at conferences! TOGETHER, WE ARE E.R. STRONG.
